28-29 October 2023 - Osteopathy and the Brain: Mood and Anxiety Disorders Course

16 hrs of AOA Category 1A CME Anticipated, Registration Fee: $515

Course Overview

An osteopathic physician, guided by the osteopathic tenets, can help psychiatric patients by addressing systemic and localized areas of dysfunction within the body unit, optimizing structure and function to support self-healing and self-regulating systems. This level of treatment is not taught to this degree of specificity in most osteopathic medical schools as it requires a higher teacher to student ratio.

This course is designed to pair the students with experienced teachers to facilitate their knowledge and palpatory skill in using OMM in patients with mood and anxiety disorders.

Course Objectives

- Review relevant anatomy of the cranium, cranial vasculature and brain structures.

- Describe the principles of mood and anxiety disorder diagnoses.
